Well... it's finally here moving day! Yippee!! Are we ready???? Not really. This is the most disorganized move for me yet! Oh well, I don't care I will be sleeping at the new house tonight! Alanna doesn't know it yet or realize what is going on we have tried to include her with the decorations and such but tonight will be the real test. I hope she handles the transition well. With all that said this will be my last post for a little bit. Don't give up on me though I will be back. Take care.

A BIG help!!!
I was packing today, seems thats all I do these days, and I had Alanna in our bedroom with me just doing whatever she wanted but having her near me-to keep a eye on her of course. She was taking stuff off her changing table packing it in a box ever so not so neat as only a 20 month old would do. When she disappeared into our walkin closet only to come out seconds later with not one but 2 of my bras on. One on her arm like a purse and the other around her neck like a scarf. It was priceless. However I did not take a picture as the bras aren't the prettiest ever and quite large. Embarrassing to say the least! Kids are so fun aren't they and oh so innocent.

Girls Luncheon
Its our annual Christmas luncheon with my sisters, my mom, and of course us (Alanna & I). Alanna went last year and she was bald and so stinking cute! She had all the features of a little chubby baby and now she is a chubby toddler and still stinking cute! Today she will walk in the resturant and last year she was carried in her little car seat!! What a difference.
Anyways, we had to do it this weekend because next weekend is our planned move the big stuff weekend!
It will be fun. Next year I am going to cook brunch and just have it in my house for something different and fun! Plus its easier with Alanna because she doesn't have to sit confined to a high chair. Although another year she will probably handle it better! Wonder what another year will be like and the difference in the next year will be. She will be talking non stop probably. She tries so hard now with jabber some things you do know what she is saying and its cute but some things you don't and she must get frustrated at me when I don't understand because she shows it in her jestures and facial expressions!! So I try to pretend to understand and that usually works. Not always though but for the most part it does.
Well, gotta go get ready. Have a great weekend everyone!

Larceny and Old Lace
My nephew is graduating this year from the school I graduated from. That makes me old! But...last night brought back some memories I attended his play Larceny and Old Lace. It was very good. He was most excellent (not just because he belonged to me) but his part fit him perfect and he was a natural. In fact, everyone did a most excellent job. I dreaded the fact that I had to go and sit through some school play but it was very entertaining and I enjoyed it very much!
I sat there before it started and remembered things of my high school days. My friends, the pep rally's before a big game, the lunch room where we all sat to eat is the drama teams exclusively and the tables are now boarded up to the wall. The lockers that were in the hallway are still there but added down the hallway to the library. I tried to remember my locker number but couldn't. I can remember walking those hallways with my friend Jody and making plans for the weekend and what to do around Jackson. We use to think it was so boring here. Well... it still is but we found things to do. Cruising the ave. every weekend, tee peeing houses, the bonfires, house parties. It was fun to have some fond memory's come back to me. And now my nephew is enjoying his last days of school. I feel sorry for him though. For me, getting out was what I looked forward to the most and he is totally opposite. He loves school, friends, and all the activities that go with it and he dreads the day he walks the aisle for his diploma. Now that I look back on it, I wish that school could have lasted longer too. Those WERE the days of no responsibility and not a care in the world. NOW.... a husband, child, house (2 in my case), a job and financial responsibilities. Wow where has the time gone!! Its really flown by.
Someday, hopefully Alanna will be sitting in the very chairs her mommy sat in and will have her own fun times. I pray she too meets a friend like her mommy did and has the fun times we did.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who reads this blog! We have much to be thankful for!
We are heading over to my family for the day and I just wanted to leave this photo of one of the most thankful things I have in my life!!
I truly don't know what in the world we EVER did before she came around. She consumes our every hour. All my life, I heard how much a child changes your life, until you have one of your very own you have no clue what that statement means. Things that were in important are SO not important to you anymore. Everything is about her and her needs. Children are the most wonderful gift!! I am so thankful that the Lord allowed me to be a MOMMY!! I wouldn't change this journey for anything in the whole wide world!!! I would have only done it sooner!!

Little one is sick!

Our little one is sick. She's been very healthy so far in her life. She's had a few sniffles, 1 pink ear- not an infection I caught it early; but now she has a cough, runny green nose and a little low grade fever. She's in a great mood for breathing through her mouth and having snot run down her upper lip. she has played and still wants to do all the normal things she loves to do. But I can see it in her eyes that she doesn't feel good. I hate it when she's sick. I am staying in pretty much all weekend and not venturing her out at all if I can help it. Hopefully, she will be better by the end of next week. We are heading over to my family for the holidays. I am looking forward to a short work week. Here's a picture of my little precious in her "first Car"!
I wrote this yesterday and my picture wouldn't come up so I waited until today to see if it would show up and it did but with that said the little one is doing better not over it but much more active!!!!
