PS

Ps I weighed in today and I lost 6 lbs. Yippee!
I haven't had the greatest birthday ever, heres the story behind why! I had to have a tetnus shot the other day at work. I got a metal shaving in my finger and they sent me to the work dr. who decided it would be best to give me a shot. For those of you who know me, this didn't settle with me well. I haven't had a tetnus shot since I was in Jr. High. (Side note: I turned 35 today) ! So last evening, I was sitting in the rocking chair at my sister-in-laws house while she played with Alanna, and felt a lump in my shoulder between my neck and my arm. I panicked! Thats how I am I immediatley thought the worst. Cancer. I was convinced. I looked at me dear little Alanna all happy and couldn't imagine her growing up without her MAMA and I worried the rest of the evening! So today I got up and it was bigger and hurt. I told my husband, bless his heart, who said to me, "You have to go to the express care and get THAT checked out". So off we go. I get into my room and the nurse asks the question, "what brings you here" tears begin to flow down my face. I explain it and apparently she felt really bad for me because she got tears in her eyes. I knew I was dead for sure. The dr. calmly walks in and feels my lump and sits down and says you are hving a reaction to the shot you were given and you are going to be alright. I cried some more and told him I could hug him. I could tell he really didn't want me to do that so I refrained. Thank You Lord for taking care of me. So Greg is stuck with me a little while longer! And so are all of you!

The BEST PRESENT of ALL!

This is the best present I could have ever asked for! Today is my birthday and I am spending it with my little Alanna and her daddy. We are going out to eat this evening and then over to open presents and have cake and ice cream at my father in laws new place.

Birthdays again.

Well today start again another round of birthdays, and I am on a diet! My nephews party is tonight and my birthday is Saturday. (That is also weigh in day) UgH!! oh well I can splurge that day some anyways. If I told you all the actual birthdays our family has in this month I really don't think anyone would believe it. Including my husbands side.
This picture that I am posting now is the outfit I talked about in a previous post that my mom surprised me with when I went to pick her up --you may not think its very cute but it is in person. I loved it. I told Alanna to say cheese- do you think she got it right!

Bath time -Fun time

I just can't seem to get away from the sink at least not yet. She hasn't outgrown it quite yet. We took these today, just before we left for church. She is playing with the pacifer but she doesn't use it. She just likes to bite it. She actually acts like she doesn't know what to do with it.

Oh yeah, I started weight watchers too. Weigh in day is Saturdays and I am going to the actual weight watchers. I can't seem to stick to it on my own. No will power now that I have to be held accountable I will stick to it.

Hot Rollers a NO NO

Alanna woke up today her usual self--happy, I was in our walkin closet and peeked out at her and waved like we always do in the morning on the weekends. Usually she waves back and gives me her wonderful little smile. Not today --today she looked at me funny and I waved again. She got a unhappy look on her little face and looked like she was going to cry-something she doesn't do often especially for no reason. I couldn't think of what in the world was wrong. I went over to her bed and she kept looking up at me and when I reached for her she turned towards the opposite way of me and towards the back part of the baby bed. Then it dawned on me what the problem was. I had gotten up early and put my hair up in hot rollers something Alanna has never seen me do or at least remembered. I reassured her over and over it was her Mama and finally she just smiled she still isn't sure and wouldn't hug me but at least she let me hold on to her. She keeps looking at me and then she looks up at my head. I guess hot rollers are not in the picture after today for a while. It really was pitiful the little face being scared of me-her own mom.

Over with that round!

We are over the last round of crankiness. Or at least I think we are. She is back to her ole' self of getting into everything but being in a better spirit of things. My mom likes to surprise me with cute little outfits when I go to pick her up after work and the other day she was absolutely adorable. She was in jeans with a white ruffle down the side of both legs, white eyelet shirt with red buttons and the cutest jean hat on her head. She leaves the hats on still Yippee! I didn't get a chance to take a picture (actually I forgot to take one but I promise the next time she wears it I will take the picture and post it!). She just started another new thing of running from you if you want her. She hasn't done it to me but.... she has Grandma and its hilarious. Of course, my mom doesn't think so but for those of you who know me and my mom I am sure you too are laughing right now. When she starts running from me it will no longer be funny!

To think I begged for teeth!

I can't believe that I was sooo worried about Alanna getting teeth and I kept begging her to grow some. What have I done! What have I asked for! She is a crank!!!! With a capital C! I can do something for her and she yells out really hateful . It doesn't make for a nice little girl. I have given her some Tylenol and she is back in bed. She is so precious when she's sleeping --of course she's precious when shes not but she is very cute sleeping with her little thumb in her mouth. Hopefully this will pass quickly. They are all coming in at once 2 more are seen just under the skin. I feel bad for her as she has no idea why she hurts. I have tried the Ambesol and she thought I was torturing her. She cried and cried and buried her head on my shoulder roll it back and forth as if she was wiping it off. Poor girl. That bottle quickly found its place in the trash can!

We have teeth!

Finally... we have teeth. We have had only 2 for a very long time. In fact, at our last Dr. appointment I even asked (I was getting worried) about the whole teeth situation. Our Dr. being an understanding Dr. said no worry until age 2 and then they would do x-rays. I was getting worried that I needed to start saving for falsies! Anyways she has her first 2 and now another on the bottom and her first on the top! Its amazing what shes been eating with just the 2. We give her the gerber fruit puffs and if you hand the bottle to her she uses her 2 bottom teeth to get the lid off. TOO CUTE!! Shes only been a little fussy and no fevers so far with the latest mouth changeing experience.

Done for awhile

We are home now and done with the birthday celebrations for while anyways... Greg is out working on a booth set-up, for a home theater company, to be in a show this weekend. He will be putting in some long hard days but it won't be for long. Thats good. I really don't think Daddy has any idea of how his little girl likes him around. She cried tonight when he took some jeans in to change clothes even though he was coming right back. She loves her Dada. They are pretty tight around here when they are together. I like it that way. I want her to stay that way towards her Daddy. It gives real meaning to "Daddys Girl"!

A month of birthdays!

Well... this is the month that both our families celebrate the most birthdays in any one month. Oh my, it gets old. My birthday is in this month and I use to look forward to my birthday every year but.... now its tiring by the time we get to my day. I don't look forward to it anymore. I get all caked out by that date too. We have a celebration tonight that starts the month out and we are going to Finleys. Then tomorrow night is my mothers and she wants to go to Finleys too. The next night is my sisters and she is going away otherwise we would be going back to Finleys for a third night in a row. Oh well, we will have fun and I can get something tonight and then get something totally different tomorrow night.
Alanna will love this month someday. She's really good in a resturant so I don't mind taking her out. She eats regular food now and loves it. She really likes her fruit and veggies. Yippee!!!.
We are suppose to warm up into the high 50's on Friday so spring has sprung YEAH!!!!!!! I am so ready. Alanna is ready too she hates wearing shoes, socks, and her coat. She is going to be a little hillbilly! Thats ok it runs in her genes.

Been so long!!!

Sorry its been so long since I have posted anything interesting in my life. Alanna has been walking the past few days. She just takes off and goes. She is very wobbly but she makes it as long as she doesn't get too excited! When she makes it to her destination she smiles really big and claps. Her favorite thing right now is when Daddy walks in the door and she walks over to him. He really likes it too. In a few short days she will be 11 months old. I can't get over how fast this past year has gone by. I was pregnant this time last year. Yikes!! I love every moment I get to spend with Alanna. She makes me smile so much. She waves bye bye now both hands, facing each other and claps at that too. I guess every new thing she does we clap so that must be why she claps everytime she achieves something!! She really takes everything in that we do. She has copied some things that her daddy does when he is playing with her and its really cute. For instance, our couch sits up high and so things go under it very easily, when Alanna & Daddy time comes (after dinner is over)he gets on the floor and plays with her and all her toys, she likes to throw things under the couch to watch daddy find it. So he gets down on his tummy and fishes the stuff out while reaching way back in under. Alanna lays down in front of him doing the same thing only her butt is up in the air. They face each other too. It is very cute!! I am going to try to post some recent pictures of our little person in the next couple of days. I promise!
