Hot Weekend!
We have nothing planned for the weekend. Just staying around here and enjoying the time spent with the little one. She is growing like crazy. I looked in the back seat while she was in her carseat and she has filled the carseat out quite well. Her little legs once only came to the buckle practically and now they almost touch the seat holding the carseat! =( I think about all the fun times we have in front of us but.... I still love her little and so cute, cuddly and innocent! She jabbers all the time! If she starts talking like she jabbers oh my! I will feel like I am back in high school with my best friend. She talked all the time and had excellant stories. We would all go out and she would start and we would sing, " Story time, Story time, Storrryyyy ttttimmme!" We had loads of fun teasing her! She writes in her blog some excellant things and she really could be a writer.
Alanna took her lamb this week and pretended to give him milk. She smacked her lips together to make the noise. It was cute! We are working on her saying I love you but she likes to watch us say it and the things we try do to get her to say it. Someday she will just come out with it.

Nice Weekend!
We went to lunch yesterday and I got Alanna some french fries. They were too hot so I was blowing on them to try to get them cooled off enough for her to pick up and eat. When I felt like they were cooled enough I handed her her portion and told her she could eat them now. Alanna picked up 1 fry put it up to her lips and apparently thought it was still too hot so she blew her way on it (her way is spitting on it). When it was wet she ate!! TOO CUTE!!!!!
Last evening we went over to the new house to drop off our new microwave oven and my FIL was on the bobcat pushing around dirt. We let Alanna out and let her go. She had the biggest sand box ever. She loved it. She sat down on a mound of dirt and didn't move. She was covered in it. I just let her go. I imagined when she was this wee tiny little precious thing only a few hours old that maybe some day she would be this little priss. My little baby would some day grow up and just have a fit when anything dirty got under her nails or around her hands that resembled dirt. But NO WAY the dirtier the better for Alanna. I guess thats good too though at least she doesn't scream when she does get dirty and dirt can always come off easily. When we got home in the tub she went!!

We're back!
We had a good time visiting some of the relatives that we hadn't seen in a very long time. And for some it was the forst time ever to see Alanna. She did well with that too. She behaved well.
We also got to see my brother and sister-in-law and they had us stay with them for one night and that was fun too.
The first night we stayed in a hotel and I put Alanna's pack and play up. I had never put it up before so I struggled with it forever. We were 3 floors up and if the window would have opened up I would have probably thrown it out at one point!!! (I got the 3 sides of it up but I couldn't get the 4th side up to save my life!!!) I finally got it up and by that time I was exhausted. I put her in it and crashed and 2 hours later we were up again for the day! Just kidding but it felt like it anyway.
My little "19" year old nephew left tonight for the Air Force! He's not little -- in fact he is taller than me. But he is little to me. He's still that precious little baby that had to stay in the baby ICU after he was born, he's still that little guy that loved to go to Meijers every Saturday and I would go and take him to the toy department so Mommy could get her grocery shopping done and we would get a donut, he's still the little guy we put in a outfit filled with balloons for Halloween and he couldn't walk down the street because of the balloons, he's the little guy that loved Santa so much-- I guess I never knew anyone that loved him as much as "little Danny" did! We love you Danny! Take care and be careful. Dear God protect him and keep him safe from all harm. And bring him back to us safely!!

WANTED!!!

If any one that reads this knows where I can find Carters brand name My first Lamb. Please leave a comment and let me know. We have one that Alanna loves dearly and we need another one or two. She has got to the point where she is lost at nap time without him and I am afraid this one isn't going to last a long time. I have posted this picture before but it shows the lamb that we are looking for. We have looked at ebay and carters websites, we even looked at Targets website which sells "the first years" stuff. I got this for a simple gift at one of my baby showers as a topper for the gift and I ask just today the girl who gave it to me and she has no idea. Please help!!!!

13 Things we did this past 4th of July weekend!
- Took a bunch of pictures of Alanna--she had loads of fun!
- Watched Alanna play in her mini pool--a blow up pool just her size!
- Ate lots of good food!
- Pushed Alanna in the swing everyday!
- Bought 4 fireworks for Alanna --thats right only 4 they are expensive and she's too little to even remember that her mama and daddy are too cheap for "the works". One of them didn't even work.
- Alanna had her first slice of watermelon--We started out very small and then went BIG, she began to shake off her hand for the juice to slop around and ask for more!
- Watched Alanna dip what was suppose to be her hot dog bites into ketchup and dipped her fingers instead and then sucked them off.
- Watched Alanna visit all the other campers on her own--We watched her but wanted to see just how far she would go without supervision right next to her. Theres no stopping her. Oh by the way we were with a church group so she was visiting people she knew.
- Watched Alanna try to figure out how to get to the playground without shoes on--Let me explain a little if Alanna had no shoes on she would only stay on our carpeted area under our awning and a little more past the awning. I say who needs a playpen! She would walk to the edge and thats it. If you put on her shoes she was gone!
- Tried to attend church services on Sunday but Alanna stole the show. Everyone that walked up she would loudly say, "Hi"
- Listened to Alanna say just about everything you told her to, including "Ohno" for Noah now she just calls him "Nono"
- Watched her attempt the slide the wrong way.
- Watched her teeter totter with another little girl about 6 months older than her--my friend has a little one about 6 months older than Alanna and they would play great together. I miss her!
I hope everyone had a good fourth. I will try to post pictures very soon of all our events.
