Sorry!
Sorry I haven't blogged in a while. We are getting closer and closer to the BIG MOVE and I am trying to start packing so I don't have so much to do when the go ahead comes. We have all the trim painted white and the wall colors will begin this week sometime. On Saturday our family friend is coming over to put the texture that we want done in the kitchen and dining room area. I am so excited. I only wish you could see what we are living in right now with 2 adults, 1 baby-and all her stuff, and 2 dogs. No wait a minute I really don't want you to see what we are living in. We are tight to say the least.
Its so exciting!!!! We are getting closer every week. We are doing some wierd stuff I hope everything works out the way I see it in my mind. Have a good rest of the week. The little one is doing great into EVERTHING!!!!
I have a story to tell about her but I want to get the pictures loaded YOU have to see the pictures to believe the story that goes with it. Thank God He was with her through her ordeal!
Good Report!
Alanna got a good report from the Dr. today for her check up. She's right where she is suppose to be. She came home with a band aid on her little leg from them giving her a tetnus shot. She did very well. She doesn't like to be held down if they could give it any other way she would probably not even shed a tear. She really likes our Dr. I am so thankful for that. And he really likes her. We have the worlds best Dr. ever!!!
We had a good weekend and Daddy is going on a "guy" weekend away for this up and coming weekend. How fair is that??? Like he needs time away!! Alanna and I will be by ourselves for the first time since she was born. =( We will be alright. My sisters, my Mom and I are all planning a day away on Saturday shopping. We should have fun! Of course, Alanna is going with us. Shes so far really good about shopping. Heres one of the cutest pictures (I think) I have taken in a long time! Love those flips of hair! People pay BIG bucks for those little flips and right now they are all natural!
Where's Alanna?
This is what she does when we ask where she is! She grabs her head. We took her to the fair last night and she loved the animal barns. Not too fond of the chickens though. Thats alright, Mommy isn't either. She wanted to pet the pigs and I was afraid for her too. So we quickly went through that barn. She was wearing a little sundress my sister made her and a goat grabbed it to eat it for dinner. I yelled at the goat and he quickly dropped it from his mouth. She was doing great not being afraid of the animals until another goat hissed or grunted at her she jumped big time and fussed at him and that was it. It was like pulling teeth to get her to touch another animal. She rode the ponies though and we got video and pictures. She also stepped in her first cow pile and about landed on her bum! That made us laugh too. We had alot of fun together.
OH MY WORD!
Ok, so I am cooking dinner right? And Alanna is letting me know by way of fussing of course that she is hungary- Side note shes not straved or anything-, when all of a sudden I hear nothing (always a good indicator that something isn't right) anyways I go to check in on my precious little one when I see from a distance that she has one of my lilac candles in her hand and a chunk of it missing and she's chewing little a little calf. I scared her of course because I was running to her before she got another little chunk off. I told her to spit it out and she spits it out alright out comes chunks of lilac wax. And little pebbles of it everywhere, in her mouth, on her dress, in her little teeth. YUCK!!!! She begins to cry and runs over to the high chair. I toild her I was going to go get her something to eat and I did. She is presently eating a half a sandwich and juice. OH MY WORD!!! Should I call poison control or what??? Like the color???
Look Mom....
Look Mom, I'm helping you! She liked standing at this sink and handing me things. Mostly, things I didn't need or want but.... I let her know what a big helper she really was! Aren't those piggy tails the cutest?? This was a playpen Daddy made for travel and for when we arrived and set up camp! She really liked it!
Yum Yum Summer Fun!

Alanna enjoying her 1st "BIG" piece of watermelon. She ate hot dogs with ketchup first. Of course, they were cut up small. She loved dipping her fingers in the ketchup and then in her mouth. I had been giving her watermelons pieces cut up small. I decided to try a slice. I did a couple of small slices and then went BIG! She loved it! She was the dirtiest she had ever been this day. She had dirt in between her fingers here. The outfit she had on I thought was ruined but I soaked it in cold water and got it out! The juice from the watermelon would run down her arm to her elbow and she would shake her arm and sling juice everywhere. I guess you could say she enjoyed camping just a tad!
Way too HOT here!
We are under a heat advisory and its miserable. We are being warned to stay inside and put our pets inside. Our dog felt the heat from when I came home and then when it was her turn to go out she sat down and looked at me like I was totally crazy. With much coaxing she's out, but not for long!Alanna is in air all day except to and from my moms --but she sweats so bad that from the house to the car her little armpits are wet! Its SO not fun around here! Relief is but a day away! A cold front --they are calling it-- is coming in and on Thursday its suppose to be in the high 70's! We are in like hermits! I have been staying in as much as possible. I don't even go out for lunch at work--thats unusual as I like to get away from the place! Oh well just a little longer. We are currently working on "please", "I love you" (still), and some other little words with Alanna. She has "more" down pat but we would like "more please"! Our fair is coming into town next week and hoepefully the heat will have lifted and we can take Alanna to the fair otherwise she will have to wait until next year. She'll never know! =) Ps:Alanna said "please" for the first time tonight after, of course I posted the above, it actually was "eeezzzzzz" but I understood it. She wanted me to pick her up and I said," Please" and she shook her head yes I told her to say it and thats when she did it!! YIPPEE!!!
