Its Thursday!

Thursday 13

13 Things Alanna loved at the fair we attended this week!
  1. Cheese on a stick (yummy)
  2. Baby Calves
  3. Ducks
  4. Bunnies
  5. Horses
  6. Donkeys (it was a farm fair)
  7. The Merry-Go- Round--she rode the zebra and everytime she got to where Daddy was standing she would let go and wave! The pagent wave of course!
  8. The music playing or should I say blaring at some of the rides she started doing her little dance that she does.
  9. Fiske fries
  10. Pushing the stroller around like a big girl
  11. Baby tigers
  12. Monkeys-- they had a section with exotic animals
  13. Sheep

We had a good time and she loved it! She fell asleep on the way home.

Our bedroom is almost completely done and the wood floor we did in the room looks great. This wasn't my choice at first, I didn't want to crawl out of bed and put my feet on a cold floor but after some talking and giving in I decided to give it a try. I like it alot. I was afraid I wouldn't like it and hubby said if I didn't a couple of years down the road we would change it back to carpet. But I really do like it!! Phew! The only rooms in our new house that will have carpet is Alanna's room and our living room area. The flooring for the kitchen is now in and we will be putting that in soon! Its starting to look homey to me. Yeah!

So tired lately!

I have been so tired lately, like I could literally go to bed and stay there if it wasn't for a little certain someone! I try to nap when she isnapping but she thinks its fun that I am laying down with her. So, I stay up until she is sleeping and I get into something else and by the time I think of laying down she is already up UGH!! I don't know whats wrong with me. I have a doctors appointment in October and I am going to talk to him about it. I hope its nothing serious. I have lots going on in my life that sometimes get a little overwhelming maybe its depression! I hope not!
On a lighter note, Alanna is growing up right before my eyes. She tries so hard to carry on a conversation with anyone who will listen to her. She isn't saying anything but jibberish and its so cute! She will talk through an entire wildlife show saying all kinds of stuff. She uses the saliva in her mouth to so its quite the wet conversation if your near her. I agree with everything she says and that makes her very happy. In fact, she crawled up on my lap last night to watch something on TV and sat there the whole time talking about the show and pointing to the TV. When she finally does start talking to where we can understand her look OUT!!!
We won't be able to shut her up!!

Baby Parade!

Our church is having a baby parade today, for those that have a 2 year old and younger. If you could have been at our church about 10 years ago you would understand why the emphasis on the babies in our church now! I mean we had no one in our church at the time for a parade like this. And if those that were in our church were still having children back then well.... lets just say that we would be in the news around the world for other reasons. We were a church filled with gray hair and falling fast. Don't get me wrong we still have gray hair and they are very special. But we have also blossomed with younger folks having babies. Yeah! Its so nice to have a nursery filled with little people. We use to not even have a nursery. We had one but no one in it! So with that said... Alanna will be in the parade ~~I am not sure what on earth she will do in front of those folks but we will see. Shes not shy so I know she won't cry but I don't know what kind of performance she will display! I hope the Pastor is ready for this!
The Pastor is also her Uncle! So there is no telling what she really will do!

We're back!

We are back from a much needed time away from home! We went on a mini vacation leaving on Monday (Labor day) and returning on Friday! We went up the coast of Michigan to Traverse City and then on into Mackinaw City and we went over to the island. We had a lot of fun and Alanna traveled great. She was perfect in her little carseat the whole way. Special thanks to Elmo on the DVD player of course. She got to play in a waterpark on our hotel that we stayed in all by herself and that was fun! She loved the 25 person jacuzzi tub the best though. Daddy would throw her up in the air and catch her in the water. She laughed so hard I thought she was chocking on water. She loved the boat ride to the island and then she loved all the horses and doggies on the island.
Our house is coming along we are all done with the smaller rooms of the house in painting and all that is left is the kitchen, dining room, and living room. Those should be done by the first of next week. Then its floor coverings to do. Hopefully things will pick up quite quickly from here on. This house that we live in right now doesn't have alot of happy memoeries for me now! I am so ready for a change! A good change I hope!

In Loving Memory.......

I have waited as long as I can wait to post this, its still hard for me to talk about and this will be brief. On Tuesday, August 29, 2006 our wonderful and very sweet dog Harley passed away. We miss her so very much and can't seem to get over this. It was unexpected even though she had been sick. She was doing much better and seemed to be getting better daily. We have thought of all the what ifs... and what we could have done different. We have remembered all the GREAT times we have had with you and they bring a quick smile and tears to our eyes. We love you Harley Mae and will miss you very much. You will always have a VERY special place in my heart! I love and miss you soo much Harley Mae!
